Val likes to visit the mixbreed rescues in the kennel and to wander around the yard looking for squirrels, chipmunks and rabbits. She is, indeed, a special girl. While I was visiting at Kate's Manyhounds Inn, where Valley Girl lives now, Kate showed me a remarkable bit of intellect by VG.<br /><br />Kate filled a toy with small treats through a small hole in the top. Kate has a beautiful facility in Canton and has been fostering Valley Girl since the end of December. It is a busy place at Kate's. She has two greyhounds of her own plus three JR terriers, one of which is used to tolerance test our new hounds off the track. She also had a border when I was there.<br /><br />Valley Girl is having a wonderful time. She is so active and curious of everything she sees and hears. Kate has an agility run on the grounds that Valley is master of. She does things I have never seen greyhounds do like burrowing through a winding cylinder and traveling up and down a see-saw.<br /><br />Valley is a special hound. She is one of the brightest hounds Kate has ever seen. She needs lots of exercise and intellectual distractions.
